This past weekend the camp was pleased to be the site for the Semper Fi Archery Tournament, hosted by the Marine Corps to benefit Toys for Tots and the Marine Ball.
The guys got busy setting things up on Thursday evening. They had some sharp equipment with them, too.
Friday started the tournament. It was a fairly slow day, but they still had a couple participants make their way through the camp gates. Things picked up a bit on Saturday and Sunday. The tournament was split into hunter's, women's, youth, and open divisions. They also had a long shot competition.
We were able to grab a shot of one of the youth girls taking aim . . .
Not too shabby!
It's always funny to ride through the camp during events like this and see the additional "wildlife" that it brings in . . .
The weather held until late Sunday afternoon -- when they had their biggest crowd of the weekend! Unfortunately, most of their take down had to be done in the pouring rain!
